ABOUT US 
About Us
The Memphis Mens Chorale was first organized in the summer of 2006 by singers from two downtown congregations, Calvary Episcopal Church and First United Methodist Church. The then 12-man group was known casually as 12 Good Men in reference to the 12 voices (3 men on 4 parts) the group believed would be needed to sing the music they had chosen. At the end of the summer, the ensemble decided that their work was too accomplished to disband and MMC was born. MMC is no longer associated with any particular congregation or faith, though we kindly accept the hospitality of the churches in which we rehearse and perform. The Memphis Mens Chorale (MMC) is a community vocal ensemble of over 20 professional and amateur musicians united by the love of choral music. MMC performs concerts each year at various locations throughout Greater Memphis. MMC is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Please email us here if you have questions about attending a concert or joining the chorale. We hold auditions at the first of each half-season, i.e. early August and early January each year. If you are interested in having the men's chorale perform at an event or would like to support the MMC financially please write us here also. We are a licensed non-profit organization.
